3D‐printed model of a femur fracture and treatment with plate osteosynthesis in a red‐eared slider (<i>Trachemys scripta elegans</i>)

A 7-year-old, female, red-eared slider turtle was presented with proximal diaphyseal oblique femoral fracture due to falling out of bed. preoperative evaluation computed tomography performed evaluate the anatomy femur. The appropriate implant selection decided upon three-dimensional printed model before plate osteosynthesis. Follow-up time for patient 6 months and functional outcome considered excellent. In conclusion, printing osteosynthesis has many advantages on success rate by shortening operation in extraordinary orthopaedic patients, such as turtle.
